How To Participate In The Colored Highlighter Trend

We all agree that a highlighter is everything. Who doesn’t love a good glow? One of our favorite make-up trends that is here to stay is the colored highlighter trend. The trend doesn’t only make highlighters more inclusive for other skin tones, it also gives you a chance to be creative with your make-up.

How To Get The Colored Highlighter Look

Fun Neutrals

A lot of highlighters are a shade of gold. In recent years, highlighter shades have grown to include rust, bronze and cinnamon tones.  These colors look great on both lighter and darker skin tones. They are a good way to experiment with highlighter shades without leaving your comfort zone.

The Berry In-Betweens

A good middle ground between neutrals and highly pigmented blushed is a berry-toned blush. A peach, rose gold or purple blush is not only a fun color to put on your skin, but it also comes with a healthy flush too. It is great when you’d like to put on blush and highlighter in one step. Our Beach Beam and Last Minute Upgrade Highlighters are a good place to start.

The Big Risk Colors

The big risk colors are for when you’d like to go all out. Blue highlighter? Maybe even Green or bright orange. You can achieve this by brushing metallic eyeshadows from your favorite palette on your cheekbones. Our Cockaigne palette has so many fun metallics to choose from.

Participating in the colored highlight trend is so easy and you can do it too. Pick your level of comfort and do your thing!
